A few weeks ago I found myself on a Delta Airlines flight to Washington DC to attend a gathering of Government leaders and gifted communicators whose concern for the spiritual and political future of this nation prompted their willingness to spend time with Pastor’s and Church leaders from around the United States. During the flight I was writing in a small journal to my soon to be born granddaughter. Along with words describing how precious she already is to me and how I was confident that God has a special plan for her life I began describing to her why I was traveling to our nations capital for this event. I ended my thoughts to her by saying, “My precious child I am doing this for you, for your family and for your future. I pray that I will hand to you a nation that remembers it’s Godly heritage and still honors the one who has given to us in The United States of America the choicest of blessings.” You see, I cannot stand the thought that my granddaughter would one day look at me and ask why I did nothing as the United States slipped away from the Godly principles it was founded upon.
The arrangement of this printing is a compilation of the weekly newspaper columns that I have written in the past decade. These selected columns contain history and factual accounts pertaining to the Godly heritage that has been caringly handed to our generation as citizens of the this nation. Stirred by the words and the commitment of our founding fathers I have been challenged, chastised and effectively condemned for my personal lack of appreciation and involvement. However I cannot escape the words of our 40th President Ronald Reagan, If not us who? If not now when?

If not now, when” was President Reagan’s clarion call to action. May it be said of this generation, they did their part, they turned this nation around, and they did their patriotic duty.
