Tim Throckmorton was raised in the southern Ohio area and heading down a career path in retail management. It was a satisfying path he followed for 20 years. Then, God called. Determined to follow the leading of the Lord, Tim changed course and thrust himself into fulltime ministry – a move he hasn’t regretted. That was almost thirteen years ago!
Since then, Tim has faithfully served with his wife Terri at the Plymouth Heights Church of the Nazarene in Franklin Furnace, Ohio. Additionally, he has served faithfully the Nazarene denomination and various outreaches that minister to needs great and small. Tim feels that God used his years in management to prepare him for his role of service to his congregation and his community.
In addition to his pastorate at the Plymouth Heights Church of the Nazarene, Tim serves in various capacities for the Nazarene denomination in its Central Ohio District. He serves as District Secretary, Ministry Credentials Board Secretary, and on the advisory board. Unrelated to his denominational work, Tim is the vice chair of the Facility Governing Board at Star Community Justice Center in Franklin Furnace. He also authors a weekly column for a number of newspapers, hosts “Tri State Celebration” for Daystar’s local affiliate in Ashland Kentucky, and hosts a Saturday morning radio show on WOKE 98.3 Joy F.M.
With a deep love for the Lord and his family Tim desires to be a faithful communicator of the gospel and the message of heart holiness. He desires to be an encourager, making people laugh while effectively communicating the word of God.
Tim and his wife, Terri have two children, a son and daughter with whom they enjoy spending time. Joe lives just a few doors down the road. Daughter, Stephanie and her husband TJ reside in Columbus Ohio.
